The Bright Minds Program is an exciting project by Academics for Development Leuven in co-operation with Cera and LITA.co, within the Impact Development pillar of Academics For Development Leuven. With this project, we aim to reach motivated students with bright ideas and critical questions regarding social entrepreneurship. We are looking to engage students who want to have a positive impact on the society, and are eager to learn about innovative business concepts and how social businesses will change tomorrow’s world.
The aim is to promote and guide social innovation in our generation. We believe young people are a great source of creativity and are bursting with great ideas. However, turning those ideas into reality can be challenging. Therefore, we will inspire you and provide you with the tools and skills needed to become a successful leaders workforce and to influence the future society. We organize interactive, interdisciplinary and innovative activities such as workshops, lectures, excursions, documentaries, and much more. These activities will challenge you to question current problems which our society is facing and reflect upon concepts like inequality, development in the south, social inclusion, durability and many more!
This year the first AFD trip will be organized! With all the Brightminds students we will go to Paris to look how sustainability is implemented in the city of lights. We will visit a number of social enterprises to get even more inspired! For this trip accommodation and transport costs are covered by our partner LITA.co
AFD believes that social business innovation can catalyze a positive change in the world and that our generation plays a key role in this transformation.
What’s in it for you?
